Aibel UK Ltd is seeking an Engineering Manager for the In Salah & In Amenas Gas Projects to be responsible for:
- the overall engineering process and ensuring that it is carried out in accordance with relevant specifications statutory and other contractual requirements with due regard to safety operability constructability and installation aspects.
- ensuring that the work is done to the specified quality.
- the delivery of all engineering resources.
- ensuring that the project personnel are familiar with applicable statutory requirements laws rules and regulations.
- implementing follow-up and reporting of the departments internal budgets where applicable.
- encouraging and seeking improvements to the projects cost and schedule at all times.
- defining budgeting and scheduling executing and co-ordinating all activities within areas of responsibility.
- mobilising relevant personnel and ensuring that the organisation at all times is staffed with qualified personnel and sufficient resources.
- ensuring integration of supplier personnel into the organisation when required.
- Initiating and arranging verifications as required in co-operation with QHMS.
- liaising with Project engineering and Planning to establish estimates and resourcing for the scope of work.
- ensuring that the personnel have sufficient IT equipment and tools in order to execute the required scope of work.
- ensuring that subordinates are kept informed of the projects goals criticalities and development.
- reporting to Project Manager on work progress and actual or envisaged problems which might have an effect on overall project execution.
- establishing and maintaining good working relationship with Companys organisation with due regard to contractual requirements and responsibilities.
This position is open to applicants seeking employee status only. All applicants should have a minimum 10 years Engineering Managers experience in an Oil & Gas environment or similar and Bachelors Degree qualified or equivalent. It is essential that applicants are able to demonstrate competence in their discipline with the ability to work independently and lead others and are eligible to work in the UK.
The In Salah gas project is the largest dry gas joint venture in Algeria and involves the development of seven proven gas fields in the southern Sahara. In Salah is also the worlds first full-scale carbon dioxide capture project at a gas field. The In Amenas project involves the development and production of natural gas and gas liquids from four wet gas fields in the Illizi basin of south eastern Algeria
