The Engineering Manager will be responsible for the Engineering function related to the clients water infrastructure development and required to lead and manage desalination plants, certain ponds, pipelines, water injection and other water related infrastructure.

Position Specifics:

§ Support water project managers in project development and execution

§ Prepare a project execution plan for the water treatment, pipelines, brine and reuse systems

§ Establish a list of standards for use in developing designs

§ Prepare cost estimates and facilities design which meets the approved performance criteria and stakeholder requirements

§ Work directly with key outsourced functions across all disciplines including consulting engineers, contractors and advisors

§ Prepare technical and progress reports to support the flow of information to management to assist in decision taking.

§ Coordinate with Operations the preparation of the Operating Manuals

Experience Needed:

§ Engineering qualifications such as process, civil, mechanical or environmental disciplines

§ Substantial water industry experience and noticeable experience within the energy industry though coal seam gas experience preferred

§ Ability to lead and motivate a large multi discipline team in which you will guide, mentor and inspire the team to achieve outstanding results

§ Experience working on large capitol water projects above and beyond $500 million

§ You will have worked the project life cycle managing interfaces while working closely with the projects and operations team during the FEED, detailed design and construction stages of the project

§ Sound understanding of the commercial impact of project and engineering decisions and have a full understanding of strategic considerations

§ Proven leadership of commercial negotiations with engineering contractors and partners
