We are currently seeking an experienced Networks Engineering Manager to be based in their Glasgow office in Bellshill. Job Specifications;
- Management and quality of complex engineering outputs from a multi disciplinary engineering design team made up of highly qualified specialist transmission system engineers.
- To build, motivate and lead the Networks Engineering team of 110 professionally qualified engineers.
- Manage a team of 5 lead engineering managers who are in charge of each individual discipline creating complex integrated designs for major transmission networks projects.
- Manage multi disciplinary resources including their recruitment; deployment; training and development; and performance management to achieve departmental business plan and budget.
- You will hold overall responsibility for the financial management of departmental and directly contracted costs.
- Ensure that Customer relationships and expectations are managed through the life cycle of Projects. Candidate Specifications;
- Have achieved or be in the process of achieving Chartered Status
- Preferably had 10 years management experience managing construction projects preferably involving transmission 132-400KV overhead lines or substations.
- Have previous experience as an engineering manager within a leading power company.
- Be aware of technical regulations and designer responsibilities under CDM regulations.
- Have previous experience leading and managing specialist engineering teams to construct major projects from conception to completion.
- Previously led the development of a safety culture to ensure compliance with Company rules and procedures and safety legislation.
- Aware of Commercial and financial policies and procedures.
- Aware of Engineering requirements and processes for transmission networks in the UK.
