We are currently looking for 6 Engineering Managers for various positions in and around the Middle East.
Please note that each of these roles requires specific previous experience:
1. Engineering Manager for a PMC Contract in Abu Dhabi offshore O&G development some billions overall value. The role is in supporting the companys Client to manage various Contractors. Requires significant relevant Engineering Management experience in offshore O&G.
2. Engineering Manager for onshore O&G Contract in Kuwait an onshore existing field with engineering modifications and extensions. The company is the engineering contractor and manages procurement and construction on behalf of the Client.
3. Engineering Manager to support a new country development in Qatar The company has a JV with a local company and they are looking to develop in onshore O&G asset support type work. This role will be a self starter working in a small team and supporting other activities including business development.
4. A regional Engineering Manager for Middle East and North Africa needs to be a seasoned Engineering Manager who can manage/overview the various office Engineering Managers functionally including supporting with people systems process and then supporting the engineering function. This role has been combined with the Kuwait role but this does not need to be the case going forwards flexibility depending on candidates.
5. An Engineering Manager to support our growing business in Kazakhstan for onshore upstream oil and gas developments both Greenfield and Brownfield work types targeted.
6. An Engineering Manager in Baku Azerbaijan for an offshore Brownfield Oil & Gas contract for BP.

Purpose / Role
- To provide a competent engineering resource to deliver right first time predictably to agreed schedule and budget in cooperation with Project Teams.
- To implement Client engineering processes and systems.
- To develop the engineering team supported by the Discipline Lead Engineers.
Key Aims and Objectives
- To establish with Project Team scope schedule and budget and then to deliver accordingly providing technical integrity for the work.
- To input technical content to tenders including manhour estimates technical scope appreciation and systems/processes descriptions.
- To continually improve the engineering teams capability and efficiency.
Prime Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead the engineering team supported by the Discipline Lead Engineers
- Work together with the Project Teams and Department Heads to achieve Project objectives
- Manage the engineering resource in delivering the work.
- Coordinate across disciplines and manage technical interfaces.
- Conduct succession planning within the engineering team especially for key roles.
- Engender team attitude to deliver designs safe to build and operate.
- Implement Client systems and processes and provide local additions as required.
- Implement competence assessments and regular performance assessments with Team.
- Ensure team know and work to procedures in order to be efficient and right first time.
- Provide development opportunities for personnel - to increase breadth of experience and capability.
Allied Occasional Duties
- Represent the Company at external functions roll-outs and communication sessions such as graduate recruitment and events.
- Site visits to demonstrate safety leadership.
- Support workshare opportunities and to assist relevant PM in achieving technical integrity of distributed work.
- Support Growth Regions Engineering Leadership in implementing Operational Excellence and other improvement objectives.
- Support business development initiatives

Experience

- Minimum 12 years of relevant engineering professional practice
- 5 years of offshore oil and gas engineering experience including engineering management
- Appreciation of engineering for safe construction and operation
- Ability to coordinate engineering disciplines including technical interface management
Desirable:
- 15-20 years oil and gas engineering experience mostly working with contracting organisation
- Engineering or Project Engineering Manager for offshore scopes - mix of Greenfield and Brownfield
- Working with Client and aware and supportive of Client principles and methods
- Experience in environment similar to AMECs Growth Regions
