Head Resourcing is currently working with one of the largest Energy Engineering Companies in the world. With an enviable reputation and a strong presence in over 20 countries this company is now focused on developing their profile in the UK. They currently require an Engineering Manager to join their Networks division in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to get involved right from the beginning leading to quick career progression and to make a name for yourself in the fast-growing and exciting power sector.

You will have direct responsibility for the management and quality of complex engineering outputs from a multi disciplinary engineering design team made up of highly qualified specialist transmission system engineers across the main disciplines of electrical plant protection & control overhead lines & cables and civil structures & installation.
You will be tasked to build motivate and lead the Networks Engineering team of 110 professionally qualified engineers on HV projects to achieve high standards of Health and Safety performance technical excellence design innovation and to delivery excellent standards of customer service for the engineering and design of networks projects.



Skills Knowledge & Experience:

Ideally the successful candidate will be a Chartered Engineer or in the process of seeking Chartered status or an exceptional candidate with equivalent experiences within the industry.

Successful candidates are likely to have a proven track record in relevant engineering line management experience and having managed large numbers of diverse staff.


Customer awareness and meeting/exceeding customer expectations.
Give direction in application of UK Safety Procedures in combination with H&S legislation requirements.
Engineering requirements and processes for transmission networks in the UK.
Change management and improving company culture.
Commercial and financial policies and procedures.
Proven track record in developing client relationships and generating new business.
Coaching facilitation and mentoring skills.
Strong engineering planning and execution skills
Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills


Education:

Ideally have a Post Graduate qualification MSc MBA or be degree qualified. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
