CCL cclglobal.com has been asked to provide Engineering Manager - Algeria for EPC contractor in oil & gas industry. Will provide direction & guidance during development of local engineering capability. Able travel as required. Resident in Algiers or 6/2 rotation. Very good daily rates / T&Cs. 1 year renewable contract. Degree qualification in relevant subject. Chartered Engineer / equivalent with recognised professional body. Formal management training. Proficient computer user. Good communication skills including fluent written & spoken French & English. Knowledge of Arabic an advantage. All nationalities considered. International / significant experience in engineering industry some of which with major Oil & Gas Contractor in supervisory position e.g. Lead Engineer. Experience of managing multidiscipline engineering team in a design office. Experience in development / application of processes to assure technical integrity. Duties include: recruitment of technically competent staff; providing engineering input to Business Support & HSEQ. Focal point for strategic alliances. Monitoring technical assurance of services & deliverables. Provision of technical & procedural guidance & support to enhance development of engineering & design staff. Assist with identification / delivery of training / career development. Assist with employee / client relations. Maintain awareness of relevant current technology changes to Algerian and International Standards Codes of Practice & changes to Algerian / UK legislation. Provide local engineering input to preparation of tender submissions technical and commercial. Responsible for establishment of support networks learning & best practice.
