Job Description
This client design and manufacture a range of sensing instrumentation covering a vast array of market segments.  The business is part of a world wide group and has more than 40 facilities in 25 countries worldwide. 
 
The client now has a vacancy for an electronics engineer to enhance it's subsea multiphase development.
 
An electronics engineer is required to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team that will be working on multiphase flow meters for the Subsea market sector.  
 
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

- Design of high-speed low-noise analogue sensor interfaces
- System and circuit design of multi-channel data acquisition and processing products
- Design Change Initiation/Control
- Manufacturing support and ability to solve manufacturing related problems quickly
- High standard of documentation as evidence of conformity
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Reviewing marketing information and creating design specifications
- Supporting external customers, internal sales and marketing functions

Qualifications/Requirements: 

- Analogue, ADC/DAC and microcontroller hardware design experience
- FPGA Design (VHDL) experience
- Design for Signal Integrity
- Schematic Capture
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering
- Strong people and time management skills
- Work in a multi-disciplinary team
- Produce accurate work under pressure
- Work to deadlines and respond effectively to demanding customer requests.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills

Desirable:

- Knowledge of the Subsea / Oil and Gas Industry requirements
- C programming experience
- Circuit simulation using PSPICE
- Schematic capture using PADS
- Knowledge of  flow meter technologies (eg. ultrasonics, doppler, microwave)
- Knowledge of Six Sigma quality tools and lean processes
- Knowledge of Pressure Equipment Directive - PED 97/23/EC
