Our Client has a vacancy for an Electro-Mechanical Engineer - Port Construction Project.  This is a permanent position, based in Qatar.

Required for a large Greenfield seaport project development in Middle East.  As Electro-Mechanical Engineer, you will be degree qualified (Bachelor of Engineering, specializing in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering), with substantial experience in any 2-3 of the following port construction utilities:
Container Terminal (6,000,000 TEU/year).
Vehicle Terminal (500,000 unit/year).
General Cargo Terminal.
Bulk Grain and Livestock Terminals.
Naval, Emiri Yacht and Coast Guard Terminals.
Offshore Supply Vessels Terminals.
Should have all the required Engineering Experience and must have worked on a project from the conceptualization stage.

Responsibilities will include:
Supervision and providing technical assistance during construction works.
Supervise contractors works to achieve and maintain required operation and maintenance, construction in accordance with the contract documents.
Reviewing the contractor's shop drawings in relation with contract drawings.
Reviewing and commenting upon all contractor's submittals such as materials approval, method statements and sub contractors.
Ensure correctness and completeness of As built drawings.
Check measure of work done and agreeing the interim payments with contractor.
Observe site safety practices.

Qualifications and experience will include:
BE/B.Tech/BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Project Management.
Substantial relevant experience.

The salary for this role is $7000 - $8500 USD per month.
