NEC ELECTRICIAN AFGHANISTAN
URGENT REQUIREMENT

Required: NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODING QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN to work for a well renowned military support organisation in support of additional contract awards and operational expansion. We are seeking to appoint an experienced NEC ELECTRICIAN for their global operations.

The position is based in Afghanistan where you will be working under arduous conditions. Working conditions infrequently involve some physical exertion exposure to the elements or hazards inherent in the job. Our clients Electricians are responsible for executing inspections and maintenance activities in theatre.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
ÃÂÂ The Electrician must be of a Technical status and have 3 years relevant post qualification experience.
ÃÂÂ Technical - defined as holding HNC ONC or equivalent or higher qualifications in an appropriate discipline together with relevant experience.
ÃÂÂ 17th Edition City & Guilds
ÃÂÂ National Electrical Code NEC 2008
Preferred:
ÃÂÂ Previous experience in execution of deployed project locations
ÃÂÂ 2391 Inspection and Testing Certificate

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ÃÂÂ Inspection and maintenance of electrical installations
ÃÂÂ Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Works Act
ÃÂÂ The principal duties of the Electrician will be the undertaking of inspection and maintenance of electrical installations in theatre.
ÃÂÂ Good understanding and working knowledge of codes of practice British & American Standard and good working practice.
ÃÂÂ And any other duties as directed.
