Job Description
Our International Recruiting division has a requirement for a suitably qualified, experienced and highly professional individual who possesses the comprehensive skills set and experience listed below.

This position is a 12 month contract on a rotation of 6 weeks on/6 weeks off and is based offshore China. This contract requires an immediate start up.

Minimum Education and Skills:
Work experience and ability may be substituted in lieu of formal education.
10 years working experience on oil and gas projects.
At least 2 years of deepwater DP drilling rig work experience as Electric Supervisor.
Troubleshooting and problem judgement and resolution skills.
Relative technical calculations required and basic computer skill.
Effective communication in written & oral English.
Ability to speak Chinese would be highly advantageous.

Job Duties and responsibilities:
Operations/Maintenance:
Supervise the major maintenance and repair of electrical equipment on rig. Ensure daily inspections and maintenance on electrical equipment are carried out.
Ensure the proper implementation of the Preventive Maintenance System (PMS).
Planning for electric systems operations, maintenance and repair.
Enforce the permit to work and isolation system within the electrical department.
Supervise the operation and service of power generation equipment, i.e. generators and engine controls, VFDs, switchgears, transformers, power distribution, DP control, and ESD control system etc.
Supervise the maintenance and repair general rig equipment such as HVAC system, refrigeration plants, power and communication systems, etc.
Supervise the maintenance and repair of electrical components of marine equipment, i.e. thruster motors and auxiliaries, cranes, etc .
Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts in order to fulfill efficient operation.
Ensure that reports for repair and maintenance are accurate and complete.
Complete other related task arranged by Maintenance Supervisor.
Take part in related preparation activities including directing and supervising electric equipments installation and commissioning.
QHSE:
Perform to COSL QHSE policies and Rig safety rule.
Actively participate in pre-job meetings as required.
Report any incidents, potential hazards or abnormal situations to the Maintenance Supervisor or safety Officer.
Prepare Job Safety Analysis for hazardous situations.
Assist in reviewing and updating the current safety case in consultation with rig and shore-based management.
Personnel:
Mentor, develop and train crew members to ensure they are competent to work at their current job or next job level.
Evaluate electric personnels shift.
Train personnel on the use of the PMS to reduce error in the system.
Supervise and guide crew members in their On the Job Training (OJT) program.
