Our Client has a vacancy for an Electrical & Instrument Engineer, based in Perth, Australia. This is a permanent position.
Key Dimensions:
Maintaining the day-to-day operability of APU E&I-related facilities.
Regular surveillance and reporting of E&I systems to intervene in potential issues, provide troubleshooting support and maintain a high level of safety and performance.
Provide quality control and assurance to maintain asset integrity for E&I-related modifications and projects.
Conduct technical reviews and system audits and reporting of results.
Management of topsides E&I engineering support contractors as required.
Coordination/ communication with a wide range of both BHPB and contractor personnel.
Key Relationships:
APU Surface Engineering Discipline Engineers.
APU Operations.
APU HSEC Team.
BHPB Petroleum Central Engineering.
Class Society and regulatory authorities (e.g., NOPSA).
Direct Reports.
Travel Requirements:
Offshore as required (potential for short notice pending operational requirements).
Occasional Interstate & International as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in relevant engineering discipline.
Experience & Technical Competencies.
Mandatory:
Extensive related engineering experience in the upstream petroleum industry.
Possess a working knowledge of E&I design standards, relevant codes and recommended practices.
Competent in the preparation, development and review of Project Design Basis, engineering design, construction and commissioning methodology, maintenance strategy documentation, cost estimation, and project scheduling.
Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated expertise in problem solving skills.
Desirable:
Understanding of Australian Government, State Government and IMO legislative requirements relevant to offshore and onshore oil and gas production.
Previous experience in the role of Authorizing Engineer (Europe) / Assessor (Australia) for High Voltage system operation.
Experience in Project Economic Evaluation.
Knowledge of CAPEX and OPEX estimating.
The salary for this role is 200,000 - $250,000 (AUD) per annum.
