Our client has a vacancy for a Drilling Preservation Engineer based in Baku Azerbaijan.

This is a contract position.

As Drilling Preservation Engineer your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure all discipline preservation team members are fully aware and understand all the projects safe working practices and adhere to them so to maintain a SAFE working environment
  Main interface with Company / Contractor Engineering teams for the provision of equipment / system preserved status


• Responsible for writing and approving the content of all required preservation procedures 
  Ensuring that the integrity of the systems is maintained and all safe working practices are adhered to within the procedures


• Responsible for ensuring all preservation materials required to perform the works are correctly identified and procured


• Responsible for ensuring all vendor procedures supplied detailing specific critical requirements are adhered to and any vendors called to site are aware and understand the safe working practices of the site and receive all the necessary site specific safety training


• Responsible for the raising of LUNs relevant to specific preservation measures and ensuring that all work carried out  is completed under a Permit to Work


• Responsible for ensuring preservation measures applied are correctly removed to ensure  all Pre-Commissioning activities and dynamic Commissioning activity are completed in a safe manor and subsequent re-preservation measures applied upon completion of Pre-Commissioning / Commissioning works


• Ensuring all relevant Training and Coaching is undertaking and implemented within the Preservation group to develop technical understanding of engineering principles and practical skill level


• Ensuring that all registers, procedures and paperwork are completed to enable a smooth hand over of systems


• Liaise with operations


• Coordinate with material group with regards to vendor packages and the OSD of materials
   

Qualifications and experience required:

• Ability to interpret and understand P&IDs, D&IDs, UFDs, PFDs, GA's and other engineering drawings


• Mark up PUNs on issued drawings


• Good knowledge of Mechanical package equipment


• Ability to work on own initiative


• Good inter-personal skills


• Ability to produce written reports


• Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint


• Fit and Healthy


• An Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications / experience


• Significant experience of similar roles in oil and gas industry

You will be an experienced discipline engineer who demonstrates good communication and team ethos skills and have significant experience of working on major Project within the Drilling oil and gas industry

The salary for this role is negotiable.
