ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:

Position Title: Drilling HSE Engineer

Assignment Location: Tehran, Iran

Assignment Start Date: TBD but, likely to be June 2010

Assignment Duration: 4 years

Long Term Qualification Requirements: B.S. Engineering / minimum 7 years experience. NEBOSH HSE Qualification preferred but others accepted

Work Description: Reports to Engineering Manager or Engineering Supervisor and works closely with Operations Superintendents and other operations personnel to make sure that drilling and completion operations are conducted within best HSE practices. Responsibilities will include: Long lead planning of project HSE requirements. Interface with vendors and service providers to ensure equipment and services are provided in a timely manner. Evaluate new technologies for HSE purposes. Perform studies and analysis to enhance optimization. Perform well and casing designs. Work with Operations personnel to ensure safety, health, environment, and controls are addressed in the design and implementation of drilling and completion operations. Provide rig site support as required. Interface with internal functions and external regulatory agencies. Assist with government regulatory requirements, approvals, and permits. Participate in rig calls and other regularly scheduled meetings. Additional Information: Welcome international candidates for possible assignment in their own region.

Desired Experience: Experience of working on offshore shallow water gas exploration projects. Completion experience required. Prior experience of working with Chinese oil & gas companies will be a significant plus as well as prior work experience in Persian Gulf region.
