A major international oil and gas operating company has requested CCL (cclglobal.com) to provide a Drilling Engineer / Manager: Partner Operations to be responsible for oversight of development / appraisal of drilling in Angolan Deepwater. This senior role will also develop knowledge transfer relating to design, installation, operation & cost estimates. Based in Greater London / Home Counties. Client will consider both a contract (under a 1 year renewable contract) or staff appointment. Must be able to travel as required. Excellent rates / package. University degree qualified. Must have relevant Certification. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and track record as team player. Must be a self-starter who thrives on working in a multidisciplinary environment and integrating between the reservoir engineering, facilities and commercial functions. Fluent written and spoken English. Must be an effective communicator / negotiator with great attention to detail as will represent company at partner meetings. Fluent written & spoken English. Eligible to live and work in the UK. Ideal candidate will have broad drilling and completions experience including operational experience, broad exposure to other key disciplines and will be confident at presenting views on a broad range of technical issues. Previous deepwater water drilling experience. Must be comfortable working in an environment where building and maintaining good relationships with the external operators and other partners is vital. Ability to constructively influence operators and other partners is a core requirement of the role.
