Job Title: Document Controller Location: Aberdeen Rate/Salary: Neg Duration: Temporary The Company: Our Client is a major contractor providing consultancy, engineering and project management services to the world's energy, power and process industries. They are the leading Contracting Company to the Oil and Gas Industry in the UK. To participate in managing the daily performance and operation of the Document Management Centre - either corporately or on a project. This includes all DM activities required to meet the needs of the onshore and offshore operations. To assist the DM Team Lead to deliver DM support Process all documentation received in DM in accordance with prescribed matrices within agreed timescales To process both design and vendor documents in accordance to corporate or project procedures To accurately update information in the electronic document management system Assign work tasks to more junior staff (if applicable) to achieve targets/milestones Assist in project close-out and handover/archiving activities Assist completion of requests, searches and queries from any project personnel Accurately allocate and control the numbering of documents and drawings produced on the project Liaise with engineers, clients, suppliers or third company companies as required Utilise file format conversion processes Essential: Design and Supplier Document process experience Experienced in working in an engineering project group or information management centre Experienced in processing design or vendor documentation Experienced user of electronic document management systems Experienced in working to departmental and project procedures Fircroft is a leading provider of technical recruitment solutions to a number of specialist industries, active in over 40 countries worldwide.
