Our Client has a vacancy for a Development Chemist, based in Aberdeen. This is a contract position.

Responsiblities:
Work with the senior staff to evaluate new raw materials and other commercially available products. 
Take responsibility for operation and maintenance of equipment and methods used by the scale groups.
Carry out product screening performance tests and new product development to ensure that Companies continue to offer the best technical

solution to customer problems, working within given time constraints and priority structures.
Develop a thorough understanding of Companies product range with a view to assisting in the development of the Companies product

management.
Present all reports in a professional manner.
Ensure that all existing test and laboratory equipment is properly used and maintained.
Present all reports in a professional manner and be competent on the computer and software systems available. 
Take a professional approach to self-development.
Source appropriate training course.
Be responsible for conforming to the test procedures and maintaining the necessary paperwork/procedures for ISO compliance.
Implement and follow Company safety policy and procedures, in particular COSHH and risk assessment.
Continually improve expertise and knowledge in oilfield scale control technology.
Provide technically accurate, visually appealing quality written reports and presentations.
Be an integral part of the Technical team.
Maintain ISO good standard whilst continually improving work processes.
