Job Description
Position: General Manager or Country Manager
Reports To: President/Board of Directors
Summary
Provide leadership to Companys operations in Myanmars upstream business initiatives growth and operations. Responsible for the Companys growth sustainability and profitability in the Exploration & Production E&P business as well as oversee Companys operations to achieve business objectives and schedule completion efficiency quality service and cost-effective management of resources. Overall in charge of field/block operations and all matters related to Surface Subsurface General Affairs & Finance. Protect the interest and right to the block or field.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
· Lead and manage the upstream oil & gas business in Myanmar
· Lead and drive all key upstream activities & initiatives such as acquisition and divestment
· Champion and drive the business development and social capital for the upstream business
· Lead and manage the field/block on all core and non core activities
· Supervise all subsurface and surface personnel
· Lead and drive all key activities & initiatives such as coordinating subsurface activities on GGR & PT studies drilling campaign work over & well reentry and intervention surface activities on field management operation production & maintenance process & facilities engineering and HSE QA/QC & security matter spearhead full field review and further field development plan responsible for WP&B and AFEs submission and approval exploration & production period or PSC extension
· Coordinate and submit surveillance report on field/block activities & planning to the local authorities regularly e.g. monthly or quarterly
· Establish and enhance strong relationship with all key level of local authorities
· Champion and provide the strategic leadership to grow and enhance the organizational capabilities as well as capacity to execute the strategies to achieve the business objectives
Education/Experience
· A well rounded surface or subsurface expertise with a multi-disciplinary background as well as extensive managerial and technical experience
· Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering Geology or Geophysics. Preferably Senior Management/ General Manager/ CEO/ VP/ Directors who has previously worked in upstream oil and gas industry
· Minimum 20 years of work experience with a strong operating company
· Strong in-depth oil & gas due diligence developmental technical and operational exposure
· Effective motivational leader who is results-oriented meticulous resourceful performance driven and customer focused
· High energy team leader with a sense of drive & urgency creativity decisiveness and ability to excel under pressure
· Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication skills with key government officials professional personnel senior executives and the community at large
· Strong business and operational acumen
