Brunel Energy is the professional and engineering division within Brunel International that recruits contractor and permanent personnel to the international oil and gas industry. Our clients are predominantly major operating companies and international engineering or construction companies.

Brunel Energy is currently sourcing for a Cost/Planning Engineer for our client, a global oil and gas owner operator. This is an exciting opportunity working on a multi billion dollar LNG Project.

Primary Focus Areas for this position are; Cost, schedule, change control and the associated reporting function. Key responsibilities include:

Utilise existing project Cost Management tools - Monitor appropriate budgets, analyse costs , commitments, expenditures and forecasts

Prepare project cash flow forecast for appropriate cost commitments

Assist in the preparation and review of cost estimates

Coordinate change control system for the projects Geotechnical Survey program and other in-country works, local contracts.

Reporting of Project Costs to the Downstream Cost Engineering lead in Houston

Interface with Central Cost and Finance team in Perth and Houston Cost Engineer

Requirements

Circa 10 years project services experience

5 years oil and gas experience, operator/client side preferable

Relevant tertiary qualification
