Job Description
Aker Solutions are currently looking for Cost Engineers to work at Daresbury / Birchwood with extensive travel to Trawsfynydd, it is therefore necessary for respondents to indicate their willingness to work at these locations.
Cost Engineers report directly to Project Leads and functionally to Lead Cost Engineer / Commercial Manager. They are responsible for performing a variety of cost engineering functions to include estimating, cost control, budget preparation, monthly payment applications, monthly cost expenditure and monthly EAC forecasting, preparation of monthly cost reports to include earned value analysis, subcontract cost management and prepartion of Final Accounts.
Currently the working week withing TSIF is 38 hours Monday to Friday, certain projects however will operate shift working patterns outside these hours and flexibility may be required of individuals to accomodate this.
Applicants should have a minimum 5-10 years experience in project cost control, forecasting, commercial management of engineering, procurement and construction works and preferable a professional qualification together with an understanding of NEC Target Cost contracts.
