Job Description
Our client a leader in oil and gas industry requires an experienced Corrosion Engineer for a position based in Baku Azerbaijan. The role is open to candidates with at least 10 years experience in a relevant or related area of work. Successful candidates should also have a chartered engineer status and a BSc/BEng/MSc level qualification in chemical corrosion mechanical engineering or a relevant applied science.
Outline of Responsibilities:
The corrosion engineer forms part of a multi disciplined engineering team addressing client corrosion maintenance and inspection requirements related to oil and gas production equipment.
The corrosion engineer will carry out a range of tasks to support implementation of products and services in the area of corrosion/erosion risk assessment corrosion management of existing plant. Corrosion management meetings and strategy for business critical equipment is an essential roles and responsibility of the engineer.
The work will require management skills and in support of the corrosion management activities the corrosion engineer will co-ordinate the work with senior engineers/engineers and technicians and is required to directly responsible to the Integrity Planning and Inspection Execute Team Leader
The corrosion engineer will be required to transfer the project management skills technology and ACET proprietary software and databases to the engineers within the asset team. Training will be an important element of technology transfer to the junior engineers. There is considerable scope for innovation and technical development of existing skills working within a small group of multi disciplined engineering staff.
The corrosion engineer is required to prepare corrosion control/management proposals in the area of corrosion risk assessment corrosion management plans and corrosion engineering services to customers in the offshore asset.
