This role provides support for the implementation and ongoing management of a knowledge management solution for company and also provides CPD database administration support for information management.
•Assist with the development of a knowledge management capability within CPD.
•Contribute to the development and implementation of information content, information management and information dissemination policies, standards and guidelines.
•Record details on key areas and issues of strategic importance to company.
•Manage the internal and external data information gathering processes for these key areas and issues to support the knowledge management function.
•Provide input to the acquisition of a suitable platform and vehicle for the knowledge management function.
•Keep up to date on knowledge management technical and theoretical developments.
•Assist with the development of tools and protocols for creation, integration and publishing of knowledge management materials.
•Manage a database of information required by CPD for analysis and manipulation to enable modeling, scenario development and report generation to occur. Link to the knowledge management solution where appropriate.
•Use information search and retrieval capabilities to assist users. Retrieve information in appropriate formats. Assist staff members to find relevant knowledge and information.
•Assess, select and apply current and emerging information tools and create information access and delivery solutions.
•Manage a records centre and document management storage solution and ensure the availability of required resources.
•Help develop and deliver direct and indirect CPD communications to all stakeholders.
•Acts as the focal point for incoming communications from company departments regarding information requirements.
•Interpret outputs from Continuous Improvement, Change Management and other activities within company, such as lesson learned, for communication throughout the organisation.
•Contribute to and assist in the development of presentations and materials for external audiences.
•Assist in the writing of speeches for the MD and other members of the executive management team as required.
•Respond to routine or ad hoc requests from Senior Advisor of Strategic Information & Corporate Support and Senior Analyst Knowledge Management as required
•Act as the Senior Analyst Knowledge Management as required.
•Assist in the preparation of CPD reports
•Assist with the preparation and monitoring of the CPD and MDs Office budgets and the coordination of the MD Group budget and reporting against performance.
Qualifications
•Minimum of 5 years experience in a large multi functional multinational organisation, with experience in a knowledge management function.
•Excellent computer skills mandatory.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to perform in a multi-cultural environment.
•Also requires strong interpersonal skills, initiative, high negotiating skills, ability to compromise and a high level of analytical skills.
Appropriate degree from a recognized university in Business Administration or other relevant technical or administration discipline.
