JOB TITLE: CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER DURATION: Long Term LOCATION: Cambridgeshire PAY RATE: Negotiable Company: The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution industry and with Oil & Gas projects offshore and overseas. Role: *We are looking for a number of Systems Engineers with Oil & Gas project experience. This will be based from our client's Cambridgeshire office with the potential of offshore and overseas assignments. *Ideal candidates should be an engineer with experience in one of the ABB product families, relevent training in the product, and / or a strong background in Functional Safety Essential Skills/Education & Experience: - Candidates with experience using ABB Master, AC450 or 800xa will be at a distinct advantage - HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline - Specific experience of DCS and/or Integrated Safety Systems - Configuring, writing and testing abilities desirable - Solid understanding of both Hardware and Software issues associated with systems coupled with a proven ability to successfully work within a team orientated environment. - Previous Oil and Gas projects experience will be advantageous - Experience of systems from one or more of the major systems vendors (e.g. Yokogawa, Rockwell, Honeywell, Emerson, ICS Triplex) may be considered in lieu of ABB technology Fircroft is a leading provider of technical recruitment solutions to a number of specialist industries, active in over 40 countries worldwide.
