Our Client has a vacancy for a Contracts Specialist, based in Aberdeen. This is a contract position.
Responsibilities:
Award and administer all contracts in accordance with the Supply Chain Process and Procedures.
Develop for client review/approval: bid packages, commercial analyses, compensation structures and award recommendations.
Solicits commercial proposals and negotiates contractual terms and conditions.
Functions as a key liaison between company client, contractors and company's service groups to ensure development of corporately acceptable contracts.
Co-ordinate approval of Contract Strategy and Bidders List by the Procurement Council.
Support the development and implementation of Contract Management Plans.
Maintain Contract Documentation that is in compliance with audit requirements and good business practices.
Identify, develop and enact value-adding contract synergy and contract convergence opportunities.
Utilise procurement tools available to the group.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Critical Skills:
Knowledge of commercial frameworks.
Demonstrated negotiation skills & ability to effectively apply analytical tools, concepts and methods.
Contract drafting skills.
Computer literate.
Knowledge of EU legislation as it applies to procurement of goods and services.
Effective communicator - good presentation and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ethical integrity.
Flexible and creative approach with willingness to embrace change.
Self-motivated, enthusiastic with ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred Requirements:
Capital Projects experience.
Strong functional background or working knowledge of procurement systems, or upstream operations and/or drilling operations, and/or engineering experience.
Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
Position Based:
Aberdeen with occasional travel.
