Job Description
Hays Energy are working in partnership with one of the largest Engineering companies world-wide called Iberdrola Engineering and Construction and we are currently seeking an experienced Networks Contracts Manager. This international company offers the opportunity to work within a key leadership role on some of the largest and most exciting power projects in the UK. Along with being a part of this leading organisation a excellent salary is on offer between 60,000 - 70,000 including a competitive benefits package. You will be involved in the delivery of the networks engineering and construction management services contract where you will hold overall responsibility for contacts performance where engineering, work package/contract integration and delivery risk are internally managed. You will be reporting directly to the UK director and will be expected to implement effective and innovative engineering outputs into effective project management and construction solutions. The successful candidate will have a track record in start-up and change management processes along with the ability to develop and progress multi-disciplinary teams and professionals.
Job Specifications.

- Growing and transforming a business unit and delivering a significant engineering and construction management services contract for 132kV and above projects, delivering significant financial benefits to the client.
- Developing and establishing the processes, systems and people to effectively manage work packages contracted to multiple vendors and integrate them within multiple work sites without conflict whilst maintaining safety standards, contract margin, client benefits and program delivery timescales and standards.
- Continue and develop the present reputation for excellent standards of Health and Safety, quality and environmental performance throughout project lifecycle with direct team, sub contractors and supply chain partners.
- Identify and manage commercial risk for all teams within networks (132KV-400KV)
- Overall responsibility for stakeholder management
- Manage customer service to ensure standards of service are met, customer expectations are delivered in line with OFGEM Requirements Candidate Specifications

- At least 10 years experience managing major infrastructure construction projects preferably within Transmission (132KV-400KV)
- Strong commercial background with a good track record within a leading power company
- Chartered status is preferred.
- Previous experience managing large numbers of staff (role will include overseeing the work of 100 employees plus 500 sub-contract staff )
- Construction processes and work package risk management
- Change management and people motivation skills
- Give direction in application of all safety procedures in combination with H&S legislation requirements.
- Knowledge of Commercial and financial policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Engineering disciplines and industry standards.
