Job Description
Our client is seeking a Contracts Engineer in Aberdeen for 12 months. The company is a young, rapidly expanding organisation that has quickly established an enviable reputation for the delivery of Oil & Gas projects mostly in the UK North Sea. They participate in all phases of the sector, from field development planning through design, construction, commissioning, operations and abandonment. Most projects, currently in the execution and pre-sanction phases are on previously marginal fields, tied-back to existing facilities; however ongoing work and future prospects will also encompass other development strategies. The company are also operators for several fields on behalf of other clients.



The Contracts Engineer will assume responsibility for all general contract administration duties. They will have experience in all types of Supply Chain contracts including good understanding of LOGIC terms and conditions. Previous experience in subsea projects and/or drilling services would also be beneficial.



The role will involve:

Contracting Strategy Development

Tender Preparation

Vendor Prequalification

Supplier Negotiation

Supply Chain Management

Day to day management of existing contracts



The existing team is focused and dedicated to contracts management for the business with each member dealing with several projects at any given time.



To be considered for interview, candidates should be able to demonstrate a successful track record of achievement in the administration of sizeable and complex Oil & Gas contracts. Candidates with strong Subsea Engineering experience are of particular interest and someone who has also been involved with the drilling industry would have a distinct advantage.



It is expected that candidates will be qualified to at least HND standard in a suitable engineering discipline or appropriate business management subject.



The role is only open to candidates who are authorised to work in the EU.
