Our Client has a vacancy for a Contracts Engineer, based in Aberdeen. This is a contract position.
As Contracts Engineer, your responsibilities will include the following:
Provide support to the Decommissioning Services Contract Holder/Contract Manager in a proactive manner to minimising claims and disputes.
Advise and support Manager and Engineers on the principles, processes to be adopted in implementing the DSC.
Support implementation and assurance as regards DSC Governance and Business Controls framework activities.
Prepare submissions for Contract/Tender Boards and ensure compliance with procedures.
Align and maintain effective support and communications with all DSC contract users.
Support audits of DSC Contract Management processes and procedures.
Support the DSC CH/CM in the resolution of commercial and contractual issues with the Contractor.
Provide input to DSC Performance reviews and reports to Project Management/Contract Boards etc.
Maintain a close working relationship with Project Finance team to ensure financial governance requirements are achieved.
Provide pro-active input to DSC business improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
An experienced CP professional, familiar with and working knowledge of major integrated contracts.
The ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural/diverse environment.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge, capability and competence in the following commercial, technical and interpersonal aspects:
Application of contracting and procurement processes and tools.
Integrated contract management (ISC or similar).
Develop and manage key Contractor (DSC) relationship.
Analysis and negotiating skills.
Forms of Contracts and their application.
Commercial acumen/awareness.
Managing internal and external stakeholders.
Effective communications at all levels of management both internally and externally.
