Client has operations in the worlds most important oil and gas regions and are leaders in working in extremely difficult environments. They have interests in many offshore producing fields in the UK including five operated fields and five partner-operated fields.
Role
Sound knowledge and practical experience of oil & gas MCP contracting the ability to lead a team and the ability to interact effectively with joint venture project management and contractor personnel. The position is responsible for development and leadership of contract admin procedures contracting strategies & contracting plans required for the projects. Reports to the MCP Group Bus. Mngr as part of the Project Services team and is co-located with the MCP Group project management team.
Responsibilities essential functions
Coordinate the development & implementation of project contracting strategy and project contracting plans for supported projects.
Establish and implement bid evaluation procedures and project contracting administrative procedures in the execution of the Contracting Plan
Participate and support bid document preparation bid request evaluation contractor selection and contract negotiations
Provide primary interface with the various client Legal and Contracting groups to finalize contract documents
Coordinate administration of major EPC contracts including change management lien waivers insurance claims mitigation and closeout
Prepare and administer all 3rd party contracts
Skills
Able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Must be able to coordinate input from multiple organizations. Must be flexible goal oriented and have strong interpersonal skills a professional demeanor and the ability to work independently.
