Job Description
A World leading Exploration and Production Company is looking to identify a Construction Site Manager for a Pipeline project based out of Brisbane
Position Summary
Management of all aspects of their area of construction to ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently, within budget and in compliance with our client's policies, regulations, permits, licences and plans.
The incumbent will oversee the work of our client's field supervisors, construction contractors and service providers ensuring work is completed in line with contracts for service.
Key Accountabilities
*Ensure safety has the highest priority and is at the forefront of planning, execution and in all dealings with contractors and service providers
*Ensure all appropriate actions are taken to implement the safety management system and legislative requirements and that they are fully complied with
*Perform ASAs (Advanced Safety Audits) and contractor compliance audits on a regular basis
*Ensure emergency response preparedness
*Liaise with Land Access ensure that our client has the landowners consent prior to entering the landowners property
*Provide technical advice and troubleshooting for construction, design and operational issues
*Review of EPC Contractors detail design, installation engineering and installation procedures
*Ensure a full schedule is maintained for construction operations
*Ensure senior management are kept fully abreast of all key risks and issues
*Be part of Emergency Response Team as directed per operating area
*Actively manage direct contractors and participate in Performance Reviews as applicable in operating area
*Supervision of EPC Contractors performance on-site to ensure he complies with relevant management plans (environmental and other)
*Ensure a training matrix is in place for all key skills to deliver technical competence and personal development
Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
*Proven experience in pipeline construction
*Proven experience with safety management systems and the application of HSSE principles on construction projects
*Proven experience dealing with external parties i.e. landowners etc
*Proven experience in project control and reporting systems
*Educated in an engineering discipline (HND minimum or equivalent)
*Commitment to safety
*Knowledge of construction standards and regulations
*Project management skills
