Construction Manager - Downstream job in Saudi Arabia
Our client a global EPC company who construct major refineries and power generation facilities in locations around the world have selected Six Recruitment to source Construction Managers for new projects in Saudi Arabia.
Role
Reporting in to the Site Manager, you will be the construction managers on a new build refinery or power station project in Saudi Arabia. You will initially be based in our clients European offices for a maximum of 6 months and will then move to Saudi Arabia for 2 -3 years.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for a section of the construction project with a total value to your section of $500m
Construction Manager assumes all responsibility with respect to the whole series of
construction operations of the project.
You will ensure the correct termination of the construction in accordance with the design specifications and the quality regulations and codes.
You will be at the head of the Construction Organisation, according to previously established regulations and quality assurance / control procedures, development of the work, programs and budgets
To participate during the performance of the engineering project in drawing up the basic planning of the construction
Manage and coordinate interface issues.
Participate in development of detailed schedules.
Will support the Site Manager to draw up the construction site organisation chart and analyse the development of the programs of the needs of the subcontractors personnel, equipment and tools, ensuring the terms of the contract established both with the subcontractors and with the client, including any changes and/or extra work.
Requirements
Relevant degree
Experience of managing your own construction budget of $300m
Experience of major downstream projects
Previous experience of working in Saudi Arabia, ideally on an Aramco project
Experience of managing large multinational work forces
