Job Description
Our client is seeking to recruit a Completions & Well Intervention Equipment Engineer.
Location: Aberdeen
Work Schedule: Office Based in Aberdeen
Duration: 6 Months
Job Description:
To provide discipline expertise for permanent downhole completion equipment.
To ensure technical integrity of downhole completion components and services.
To conduct Front End planning for the development and supply of permanent downhole equipment to provide fit for purpose proven technical solutions to meet Asset plans.
Conduct the Front End Planning for permanent downhole equipment to be installed in wells, this entails providing technical solutions to the asset that are "fit for purpose" and timely.
Manage the CERT & IERT process for the downhole equipment as necessary.
The role will involve:
Without compromise to Corporate Health, Safety and Environmental standards and in accordance with Statutes, Regulations and Company Policies, the incumbent is responsible and accountable for:
Ensuring that Down Hole completion equipment is "fit for purpose", does not impact adversely on the well integrity and is delivered on time.
Ensuring that Down Hole equipment follows the CERT or IERT process where appropriate.
Participating in and applying the Global Well delivery Process for the wells where Down Hole equipment is being used.
Ensuring that the contractor supplying the equipment is aware of his Roles and Responsibilities associated with the certification, planning and installation of the equipment they are supplying.
Establishing detailed equipment / service cost estimates and monitoring, tracking and controlling spend against the estimates.
Operations
Interface with Contractors, completion design engineers and operations supervisors.
Provide routine and emergency technical input and support to operations.
Monitor platform and MODU based completion and intervention operations regarding downhole equipment performance.
Lead investigations into completion equipment failures or problems, ensuring investigation findings and lessons learned are fully disseminated across EPE and the group.
Utilise LL databases to ensure the application of best practices across EPE relating to completion equipment
Job Requirements:
As a minimum the incumbent will:
Have a Higher National or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics or a similar technical or scientific discipline.
Have Well Engineering experience, including operational experience in completions.
Have experience integrating technical and business activities on multi-discipline projects. The experience should extend to supervising technical activities.
Maintain minimum safety certification to satisfy the requirements of the position. (Offshore survival, medical etc)
