Completions Engineer

The Completions Engineer will coordinate the necessary data to plan, design and deliver the completions operations for my client's offshore assets, in line with all HSE procedures and guidelines.
The Completions Engineer will work within the Well Construction department, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Duties

The Completions Engineer's responsibilities include:

Collation and population of data relating to the completions and workover design.
Define all uncertainties and assumptions within the Basis of Design.
Carry out the necessary engineering studies and calculations to ensure that completion designs achieve the well objective.
Undertake Tubing and Completion design for current & future North Sea projects, including HPHT operations.
Support team completions designs for current well stock and new completions.
Provide onshore technical support to offshore completions teams including platform and subsea projects.
Use industry standard software to undertake completions design, including StressCheck and WellCat.
Liaise with third parties and service personnel to ensure availability of suitable equipment and services.

Experience

The successful candidate will:
Be educated to degree level or equivalent.
Have significant demonstrable experience of completions design.
Have a strong technical background with the ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team.
Have a theoretical understanding of complex completions design.
Have a strong analytical approach to solve technically challenging engineering issues.
Be computer literate with an ability to work with Landmark applications (StressCheck & WellCat).
Have a demonstrable commitment to working to the highest HSE standards.

Bachelors Degree Hons or equivalent
