Job Description
Actively contribute to delivering projects within specified quality, time and cost
*Ensure timely execution of Supply Chain activities for the Commodity team according to
the procedures, and to the right cost. This includes, but is not limited to: procurement,
QS, expediting, transport and warranty
*Follow-up Engineering for complete and finalized technical documentation
Maintain a professional relationship with suppliers
*Ensure that all work at suppliers facilities is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety regulations
Issue inquiries/evaluate bids
*Negotiation, ordering and actively follow up deliveries. This includes responsibility for
Coordinating with expediting.
*Procure according to budget and procedures, including review of purchase order for
accuracy, approval of invoices and maintaining relevant procurement information in
SAP, for instance: forecasted delivery date, lead time, standard price, VQN etc. .
*Monitor suppliers' fabrication reports, give relevant information to delivery lead and
align with project schedule.
*Buyer with support from the QS coordinator must ensure that Quality Surveillance is
carried out as required.
*Arrange kick-off with suppliers for kick off and follow up. Some travelling will be
required.
*Ensure that transport of goods is ordered and handled according to project requirement
dates and procedures
Measure and evaluate regularly main suppliers (using scorecards)
*Handling of claims towards suppliers with the support of the CTL
*Give tender support and negotiations
*Give input to needs of strategic sourcing for the commodity team.



QUALIFICATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Higher technical and /or commercial education preferred
*Demonstrable relevant experience as a buyer
*Systematic and analytical skills
*Commercially driven
*Excellent communication skills in English both orally and in writing
*Experience from negotiations
*Team and relation-builder with cultural understanding
*High integrity and ethical values
*Personal computer proficiency, SAP and Microsoft Office skills

Qualifications
Vocational or equivalent
