Chief Architect job in UK
As Chief Architect, you will administer the Architectural Section and provide Architectural expertise where necessary. You will also ensure that adequate Architectural technical services are available at all times to satisfy the needs of the Company workload.
Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry is ESSENTIAL.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Take technical responsibility for all staff and work in the Architectural Section, ensuring technical competence at all times.
Ensure that the Architectural Section's Methods and Procedures are sound and up-to-date by identifying relevant design techniques, publications etc.
Monitor performance of CAD/CAE and maintain development plan.
Ensure a consistent engineering/design approach is maintained on all projects.
Supervise the preparation of project design specifications that give guidance on design approach, project organisation, standards, and all necessary information.
Supervise the preparation of the Architectural content of all Proposals to ensure sound and economic design content.
Supervise man-hour estimates, write-ups and programmes for the Architectural content of all tenders.
Assist the Structural, Weight Control and Architectural Discipline Manager to monitor and control the Architectural Section's overall programme and manpower requirements with respect to all projects.
Monitor training and performance of all within section.
Prepare technical audits as directed by Discipline Manager.
