Job Description
This company is one of todays leading infrastructure building and business services companies with some 50000 employees and an order book worth over 20.4bn. They are designing building and maintaining new environments for business and leisure and safer more reliable transport and Energy networks. They have a well establish T and D Division serving clients such as National Grid and major DNOs around the country.
They have opportunities for 6 Jointers / Cable Fitters on a permanent basis for work on sites around the North Midlands and North West area of the UK.
Relevant Experience:
Have cable fitting terminating and jointing experience on the DNO and National Grid network systems at voltages up to 132kv.
Show Leadership within a team environment and be proactive in dealing with Client Engineers Senior Authorised Personnel and site management team.
Qualifications:
EHV Projects Inducted
Specific Project Inducted
Holder of the CNSG Safety Passport
National Grid Person preferred Competent Person and BESC
May hold authorization codes to work on Distribution Network Operators electricity network system
Must hold trade competency certification for specific vendor joints and terminations at voltage levels specified.
May hold NERS Lloyds accreditation in specific safety instruction categories.
Must hold a clean driving license.
Job Requirements:
Report to the Resource Manager and when on site report to the CEPS Site Manager
Responsible for cable fitting terminating and jointing as per the program & work.
Display and demonstrate the companies values and behaviours within the team environment
Work within the team environment to ensure delivery of the project in line with program timescale health safety and environmental requirements.
Daily monitoring and completion of site CDM requirements.
Completion of all pro-forma documentation relating to terminating and jointing works undertaken.
Uphold the lively and professional image of EHV Projects.
Cleanliness tidiness and attention to detail at all times to provide quality workmanship.
Training and Development:
Possess computer literate skills
Knowledge of Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan
Knowledge of Construction Phase Quality Plan
Recognition and use of CEPS Site pro-Forma Documentation
Competency and trade testing on new products and equipment as required by the project.
Specific training needs identified from appraisal / personal development plan
