Job Description
Buyer -
Proactively contribute to the department and companyïs definition of Contract and SCM strategies and goals and to the achievement of these.
Proactively support internal clients such as tendering marine assets and projects with performance of the assigned supply chain activities.
Manage the process from identification of potential suppliers request for quotations negotiation recommendation and final award of purchase orders of equipment parts consumables services stock and provisions.
Ensure the Purchasing activities and deliverables are undertaken in accordance with agreed Requisitions and issues status of Purchasing activities.
Participate and conduct tasks as required to pre-qualify suppliers to the Companyïs approved supplier list with particular emphasis on the requirements for the purchasing activities.
Complete supplier feedback and assessments for purchasing commitments.
Assist in negotiation and management of Frame Agreements with main subcontractors.
Ensure the supplier maintains progress by review of progress reports and schedules to meet the on-time delivery of purchased materials and equipment.
Liaises with engineering and quality to ensure the goods meet our specifications prior to release to ship.
Assist and coordinate the implementation of the Project Procurement Plan together with Project Management Engineering and/or others as appropriate when applicable.
Knowledge Skills Experience and Behaviours
Degree qualified preferably in a commercial legal or business subject. Experience may replace the requirement for higher education.
Previous experience in a Supply Chain Management role
