Business Development Manager job in UK
Our client is on of the fastest growing chemical companies offering innovative and environmentally acceptable solutions to the Oil & Gas industry. They are looking to recruit a Business Development Manger based in Aberdeen.
As Business Development Manager your main responsibilities will be to:
- Oversee development and progress of UK strategic business targets
- Take part in strategic planning meetings to clearly identify short, medium and long-term targets, implement business development strategy
- Coordinate a calling schedule for target Companies within the UKCS to promote Company's capabilities
- Develop relationships with existing key customers and potential customers
- Feed into Divisional Business Development plans
- Manage and provide input to tender responses; holding strategy meetings, identifying roles and responsibilities, ensure production of high quality documents to strict timelines
- Maintain market awareness and keep the UK team up-to-date on market developments
- Prepare and assist in delivery of customer presentations (both technical and commercial) that fully reflect the company and its capabilities
- Attend conventions, exhibitions and relevant industry meetings to represent and promote the company when required
- Identify and communicate new business opportunities to assist marketing and product development plans
- Provide input to technology and marketing teams to cover future needs for the UK business
- Maintain a proactive approach to personal development to ensure key skilled are maintained and developed in line with role / market requirements
Qualifications and experience required:
- Qualified to degree level in a science or engineering discipline
- A working knowledge of oilfield chemistry and key production chemistry challenges is desirable
- Extensive experience in a sales, marketing or business development role within the Oil and Gas Industry
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Project, Visio and PowerPoint
- Preferably conversant with a wide range of technologies and applications, which will include, but not be limited to: oil and gas production systems, reservoir stimulation, water injection, chemical injection facilities and utility systems
This is a permanent position.
The salary for this position is negotiable.
