Business Development Consultant
Location: Surrey
Salary: £25000 - £35000 per annum

Introduction
Our client is the recruitment division of one of the worlds leading engineering and certification consultancies focused on the provision of technical staff to engineering companies throughout the world.
Main Purpose of Role
- To seek and develop new business of acceptable quality within target markets which include Oil & Gas Petrochemical and Construction Industries.
- To sell and develop temporary / contract recruitment services to major local and international Oil & Gas Operators and Engineering companies.
Key Accountabilities
- To sell the recruitment services in accordance with agreed and established objectives and strategies.
- To prepare commercial proposals to clients in the UK and internationally in a fully compliant and competetive manner.
- To provide liaison between new clients and the company and to deal with related financial and contractual issues as required.
- To provide market/sales information to the global operations manager where there is current or future potential to supply technical staffing / recruitment services.
- To prepare new sales and business development reports
- Regular liaison with clients and contract temporary staff to maximise contract stability and to identify development oppurtunites.
- Participate actively in proposal development activities including liaison with other Country Managers where necessary to ensure timely completion and submission of bid.
- Develop appropriate publicity promotional programmes and marketing collateral material.
- Develop new business organically & pro-actively in diversifies market places against strong competition and adverse trading conditions.
- Collate costing information for commercial proposals and run complex formula to ensure cost recovery of all contractural elements and obtain tax and SS information in the countries of assignment to ensure compliant payroll.
- To assimilate tax data from countries where proposals are to be submitted and ensure compliance.
- To assimilate labour law and visa regulations from countries where proposals are to be submitted and ensure compliance.
- To keep updated on UK government legislation regarding working time regulations etc and ensuring compliance with assigning contractors via PAYE and ltd companies. Ensure that any updates are advised and agreed with the operations supervisor prior to implementing any changes.
- At all times adopt a safe behaviour by exercising due regard for the health and safety of yourself colleagues and clients in line withthe companies policies and procedures.

It is essential that the person is fully competent on Microsoft office including the following
- Word - To enable clear and concise contractural letters to be produced.

- Strong executive presence with the ability to deliver board room presentations.
- Well motivated articulate results oriented customer and profit focused.
- The ability to interface confidentiality with clients to obtain clear and concise requirments and advise them of the most suitable and cost effective solutions.
Experience
- It is essential that the person has previous knowledge of the Oil & Gas markets to enable them to accuratly discuss positions with contractors and clients
- They will ideally have previous Recruitment and sales experience in a smiliar area to ensure understanding of the legislation surrounding employment of contractors
- Previous experience in producting commercial tenders.
Qualifications
Essential - GCSEs A-C grade including Maths & English
Desirable - A Levels HNC or Degree
