Job Title: Building Project Engineer
Duration: Long-term 2year Fixed Contract
Location: Japan
Remuneration: Negotiable

Client:
Our client is a major Oil and Gas company with a number of projects under development and operation worldwide. This position is based on a flagship LNG Project currently undergoing Front-End-Engineering-Design from various global office locations.

Role:
The role of the Building Project Engineer is to supervise the FEED contractors Building design and work schedules. This will include reviewing design documentation, tendering and implementation activities and providing technical guidance with regards to building design and various building services Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Fire services etc.
The Building Project Engineer will be responsible for ensuring design standards are met, that documentation complies with legislative and regulatory codes; and that key stakeholders are updated on a regular basis.
The scope of the position will include various Administrative Buildings, Office Buildings, a Laboratory, Workshop and Control Buildings.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will require:
Familiarity and experience with Australian Building Codes and Standards
Prior Oil & Gas Project experience
Minimum of 7-10 years Building Design and Construction experience
Tertiary Qualification (Degree or equivalent) in a relevant subject area
Other requirements include:
A willingness to attend site visits
