My client is currently recruiting an Associate director on the EIA team and require the candidate to provide leadership in EIA to the Sustainability Practice of the company and maintain and enhance high level of quality and competency of EIA projects and of practice members.
Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and mentoring in technical and commercial areas of EIA.
• Support the Practice in developing technical competence.
• Continue to develop personal technical expertise.
• Ensure the technical competence of EIA projects
• Act as Project Director and provide support to Project Managers on technical and financial issues.
• Enhance market position by appropriately positioning and highlighting the EIA services offered.
• Provide areas of new business.
• Proactively develop and strengthen the client base.
• Support the Practice Manager to define the EIA services and develop an effective business strategy for the services, in line with the Consulting Strategy.
• Support the Practice Manager in the development of an annual Practice Plan and sector plans for EIA and work with Practice Manager to define a series of pro-active initiatives to be launched around the defined EIA service offer.
• Be exemplar in building relationships with clients and providing tender responses to client requests for work.

Qualifications required:
• Degree qualified-Environmental
• Recognised expert
• Proven sales record
• At least 10 years broad experience in the environmental sector/ environmental consultancy, with a bias towards EIA.
• Other relevant backgrounds will be considered, particularly the oil and gas, power or utilities sectors providing adequate knowledge of EIA can be demonstrated.
• Member of a related professional institution and/or Chartered status (e.g. IEMA)
• High level of personal drive and commitment
• Appetite for the role and acceptance of the challenge.
• Strong analytical skills and report writing
• Detailed and in-depth understanding of commercial risk
