They require candidates to provide application engineering support to substation projects
Key Responsibilities and duties
To provide the technical expertise to interface protection and control applications for 400kV to 132kV UK substation projects
To design control and protection schemes in accordance with established UK standards and processes
To develop and adhere to detailed project plans ensuring project on time delivery
To produce engineering work breakdown structures time estimates and forecasts to complete
To develop technical specification of Plant items such as CTs VTs Circuit Breakers auxiliary supply boards and Protection & Control Equipment
To develop and interface schematic Diagrams such as: AC connection diagrams and block tripping diagrams
Distance and unit protection schemes Biased differential transformer protection Overcurrent and earth fault protection Control schemes such as Synchronising delayed auto recluse Busbar protection and Circuit breaker fail schemes to calculate Cable Battery and LVAC loading requirements to provide support during the production of Wiring Diagrams Cable Schedules core sheets and other general interfacing diagrams to design Electrical interlocking.
The successful candidate will have a minimum qualification of HNC/HND in electrical engineering or equivalent
To be enthusiastic and committed providing high quality support working closely within a team of dedicated professionals
Electricity Supply industry experience and knowledge of 400kV to 132kV practises.
