Our client is looking for an application test engineer to join their team. your role will be:

Responsible for the testing all navigation products
Responsible for the evaluation and testing of all relevant OEM products
Responsible for the design and development of test platforms
Responsible for the production of test documentation
Responsible for the Type Approval of Equipment
Assist with Operations Equipment Testing where necessary
Assist with Technical Support Group Equipment Testing where necessary
Liaise with the engineering and software teams for testing of future products and ensure they are delivered on time
Liaise with subcontractors and 3rd part venders
Liaise with global operations to assist with the production of equipment manuals
Liaise with global operations to assist with the delivery of equipment
Preparation of all subsequent supporting documentation for each product including parts lists and Bills of Materials
Fulfilling any other reasonable activity as instructed by the Systems Development and Production Manager

A suitable engineering degree preferably with a 2:1. Although relevant work experience will be considered.

Excellent understanding of the fundamentals of electronic and microcontroller systems
Understanding of functional testing techniques
ECAD experience schematic entry and PCB layout
Ability to design test platforms
Documentation and procedures

Embedded Engineering
Ability to code in C Assembly and Visual Basic
EMC design techniques
GNSS Equipment and Installation
