Our Client is a large international firm of Consultants who have been operating for more than 35 years providing professional consultancy services to clients in the engineering and construction industries. Specialising in the resolution of disputes on major projects they have a renowned reputation for superior technical analysis of the problems encountered on large construction projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Agricultural Liaison Officers prime responsibility shall be to liaise with the landowners / occupiers and Authorities along the route of the pipeline in conjunction with an Agricultural Liaison Officer who will act on behalf of the Project Manager.

The Contracfor must ensure that good relations are maintained with landowners tenants public and Authorities.

The persons proposed for the Agricultural Liaison Officer position shall have the following as a minimum:

5 years experience of working as an ALO for large diameter cross country linear construction projects.
Experience of contact with land owners.
Knowledge & experience of legal consent / acquisition requirements.
Knowledge & experience of Local Authority planning process and requirements.
Able to describe procedures to follow during Contact with external Agencies /
HSE / E.A. / Land owner / third party liaison.
Knowledge & experience of CPO procedure.
Experience of project commercial and schedule risk management.

The ALO will be expected to be available at all times during working hours to give
advice to the Project Team Manager and surveyors should they require it. Although
indicated in the resource schedule as ad hoc or part time attendance throughout the
project he / she will be available by telephone for meetings as required to deal with
and manage specific Project Engineer or Project Team Manager requests and
immediate project requirements. This role may be performed at site or at the
Consultants Offices. As such this role will be paid for on hourly rates.
