Staff or Contract
Our Clients, Major International Oil & Gas Offshore Subsea Engineering Contractors, have a requirement for Applications Support Analysts to work in the IT Department at their Aberdeen based UK Head Offices. One on a staff basis & one on a fixed term contract (duration t.b.a)
Reporting to the Applications Team Leader will be required to manage & resolve Oracle Application Faults & System Services requests logged with the Applications Service Desk in support of Company sites (globally).
QUALIFICATIONS
· Candidates should have a further education qualification (e.g. Degree, HNC or Equivalent).(Preferably with a Technical Degree)
· Must have experience of working in a Technical Support Role, preferably within a large company.
· Experience & knowledge of Oracle Applications essential.
· Good working knowledge of MS Office desktop applications (Word / Excel / Powerpoint).
· Must have excellent verbal communication & interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work as part of a team & a fllexible attitude to working hours.
Preferred candidates will have a working knowledge of Self Service Applications, Reporting Tools or MP5 in a support or user role.
Project Management experience.
Experience of an ERP implementation project
Will be required to:-
· Monitor Service Desk for new faults & service requests during office hours.
· Resolve Service Desk faults & service requests.
· Monitor overnight processes & resolve any problems.
· Create & maintain solutions & procedures for new & existing processes.
· Take part in an on-call service.
· Establish technical expertise in their primary area of responsibility (Applications / HR / Reporting / MP5).
· Train & assist their peers with new technologies, applications & processes.
· Provide training & assistance to super users & end users as required.
· Assist with development of functional specification of system enhancements & bugfixes for implementation by the Technical Team.
· Assist with user acceptance testing of bugfixes & system enhancements.
· Liaise regularly with all parties involved in use, operation & technical support of the systems.
· Assist with system support at Company locations as required

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or equivalent, Direct Experience or equivalent, HNC or equivalent
