Under the authority of the Engineering Manager and guidelines of the Project Director, the Senior Project Engineer :
• Provides technical assistance and advice in developing and coordinating the required engineering studies with the Engineering Manager, deputises for the Engineering Manager;
• Provides a comprehensive technical support during FEED and Detail Engineering phases of the project;
• Review and comment on detail design engineering deliverables prepared by the EPC contractor for the Central Process facilities or the trunklines and pipelines, to ensure compliance with project design philosophies and specifications, Algerian and international recognised codes, standards and regulatory requirements
• Resolve and address all technical queries raised by the FEED contractor during the basic engineering phase and later with the EPC contractor for the detailed design for the central facilities or the gathering network
• Supports Package Manager for EPC preparation and CFT with respect to technical aspects;
• Helps to coordinate the reporting on technical matters;
• Coordinates all Technical Reviews (internal and 3rd party);
• Responsible for implementation and follow up of Surface Facilities Interface Management System (internal and 3rd party);
• Helps to prepare or prepare dossiers for Company, partners, authorities, as required;
• Manages other project duties as determined by Engineering Manager / Package Manager and as required by the Project Execution Plan;
• Support the Services Function in the control and report the engineering project budget man-hours, costs and schedule
• Liaise with and communicate at all times with all project and operational teams in other locations to ensure project goals and objectives are achieved.

Qualified engineer, degree level (process/mechanical/pipeline preferred)
Experience: Over 15 years of experience primarily in a project engineering role and working on major capital oil and gas projects both for an operator as well as for an internationally recognised contractor.
Previous working experience in Algeria and/or pipelines design & construction would be a distinct advantage
Management of teams and interface with all project teams and groups with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Management of the numerous and complex relationships between companies and subcontractors involved in a successful project

Languages: Ability to work in English and French.
