We are currently looking for a Data Analyst on the SSH&E Team.

Education/Experience Requirements: Mathematics or Statistics Degree Masters preferred Bachelors considered and 3 years plus relevant business analysis and reporting experience preferred.

Drillings SSH&E Data Analyst is a key enabling position for the Global Drilling organization. The position will provide statistical rigor to the trending of incident data by ensuring appropriate decisions can be made on the basis of objective proof and statistical significance. The analysis of data to obtain value-added trends is critical in the support of our vision to achieve an injury and illness-free workplace.

Position Requirements:

Ø Good Written and Oral Communication Skills are essential.
Ø Strong statistical knowledge and ability to formulate statistically defensible positions.
Ø Working knowledge in statistical analysis software statistical modeling and MS Office applications.
Ø Capable of performing statistical analyses and assisting in interpretation and presentation of results.
Ø Data Management skills; manage databases analyze data and create reports.

Summary of Roles and Responsibilities of Position
Ø Work with collected incident data to identify potential emerging threats and value-added trends.
Ø Apply statistical methods to impute missing data or analyze trends for statistical relevance.
Ø Develop reports briefing papers memos and presentations associated with assigned duties.
Ø Make formal and informal presentations concerning data methods and findings.
Ø Select the statistical methods for modeling or estimate generation and perform diagnostic testing to identify outliers and to assess departures from distributional assumptions.
Ø Provide global Drilling support through enhancement of tools alerts process improvements.
