Position: Military Analyst

Location: Afghanistan, client site country wide

STR Global in partnership with a global leader in providing professional technical and management support services is looking to recruit a number of candidates for a position of a Military Analyst.

You will be directly employed by a well-reputable company that employs over 60,000 workers around the world. Contracts are for one year and can be renewed for additional one year periods up to December 2015. Competitive package with paid leave guaranteed every six month and flight paid for or reimbursed for up to 2,000 USD.

Job description:

As a Military Analyst you will support USFOR-A in analysis, collection, and dissemination of the open source information. You will also monitor and track local sentiment trends in relation to USFOR-A programs and policies.

As a Military Analyst you will also be responsible for providing professional advice and assistance in relation to religious, economic, social, political, tribal, and cultural matters. You will also manage relationships with local leaders and integrate open source atmospheric information into US decision making processes.

Requirements:

EU/Nato Citizen and holds NATO Secret clearance Familiarity with Afghan culture and society Knowledge of working with PCs and software Excellent oral and written communication skills required to engage with senior Afghan and US leadership and other individuals of all levels in Afghanistan.

Desired but not essential:

At least 5 years military experience supervising field operations: OCONUS South West Asia or Middle East with a background in Special Operations disciplines.

First hand connections and understanding with Afghan religious/political senior individuals and/or organizations.
