Global Field Service Operations Director job in USA
Summary of Responsibilities
Provide management direction to the TAM worldwide field service departments including global field service training programs, policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct TAM global field service operations training programs, policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with region field service operations managers related to field service activity for all TAM locations.
- Oversee global post-job follow-up.
- Develop and deliver training programs for all global field service personnel.
- Prepare and issue global job procedures for use by all TAM service staff on customer locations or other job sites.
- Assist TAM personnel in field service-related issues or questions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Indirectly supervise (dotted line reporting) all region Operations Managers in the Service area. Directly supervise US TAM International Operations Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and counseling employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education/Experience
Requires Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) (prefer Mechanical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering Degree) from four-year college or university; and at least five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum seven years experience and/or training in oilfield equipment; specific experience in packers and/or downhole tools required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a field service environment required. Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings related to packers or other downhole tools.
Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to work under a minimum of supervision. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings as they pertain to assembly of inflatable packers or related downhole tools. Ability to pass a test designed to demonstrate finger, hand, wrist and arm dexterity in order to participate in the testing, assembly and running of inflatable packers and related tools. Basic to intermediate skills in MS Office products to include Word and Excel and MRP or related systems. Familiarity with computer networks and e-mail.
