Job Description
The Company:
My Client is a major Oil and Gas Operator.
The Role:
The position acts as the site Technical Authority and primary contact for all mechanical engineering matters related to mechanical & rotating equipment.
1.Assures the technical integrity of the rotating equipment on Site
2.Develops, maintains and ensures on-going compliance with systems and processes described within the Site Integrity Management Standard in the mechanical arena
3.Provides technical guidance on the application of codes and standards with respect to static & rotating equipment
4.Approves and documents deviations from mandated codes, standards and project design criteria
5.Approval authority for engineering documents within the mechanical discipline
6.Approval authority in the area of expertise for Management of Change proposals
7.Approval authority for equipment installation and functional testing with respect to rotating equipment
8.Advises on system and equipment functional testing requirements and performance evaluation
9.Endorses working practices and operating procedures from rotating equipment design perspective and monitors compliance with these
10.Assesses competence of mechanical personnel and authorises mechanical technicians to operate equipment
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Higher qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline with in depth experience
OR
Chartered Engineer or equivalent qualification, Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (MIMechE) preferred.
Work permit applications in Algeria favour those who hold university degrees & so we will look more favourably on those applicants who hold this level of qualification.
