Mechanical Building Services Engineer job in UK
Leading international engineering consultancy that operates in the transport, nuclear energy, buildings, water and the environment market is recruiting a Mechanical Building Services Engineer.
The Mechanical Building Services Engineer will be part of the Nuclear Engineering business. As Mechanical Building Services Engineer you will work in with a highly experienced team on nuclear projects with long existing clients from concept through design and implementation. As well as containment and process ventilation, mechanical and electrical building services for process, manufacturing, office and research facilities, integrated environmental design for sustainable and passive design solutions to achieve comfort and process requirements with minimum energy impact.
Experience of one or more of the following areas of work would be an advantage:
• Knowledge of the design of complex mechanical systems.
• Familiarisation with nuclear, industrial or pharmaceutical philosophies,
• Understanding of how design data is used to support safety cases,
• Experience of the installation and commissioning of ventilation systems,
• Experience of the installation and commissioning of services such as heating systems, gas systems, vacuum systems etc.
• The ability to produce drawings on a CAD system, Auto cad is used here, any 3D and/or FEMA would be advantageous.
To succeed as Mechanical Building Services Engineer, you must have experience of a building services industry related business or research, preferably within a nuclear, industrial or possibly pharmaceutical environments. You should have an HNC, BSc or MSc in a relevant engineering or scientific subject and also have the ability and experience of writing clear concise reports.
