The Company:
Our Client is a major Oil and gas operator with major onshore / offshore oilfield operations globally.
The Role:
We are lloking to recruit a Fluids and Cementing Category Specialist to work within the wells services team with typical responsibilities to include:
- Category specialist covering cementing, cementing accessories, drilling fluids, completion fluids, well bore cleanout, and waste management.
- The responsibility for the requisition to pay process implementation for the Cementing and Fluids Category.
- Working closely with suppliers representatives and provides assurance plan and coordinate supplier audits and implements corrective actions.
- Supporting Bids administration for the Cementing and Fluids Category.
- Working closely with the Category Team Lead, take part in the negotiation of contractual terms and contract drafting.
- Work with the Line and Global PSCM to achieve internal approvals to secure well services.
- Develop deep understanding of market and bring consistency to the corporate approach to the market and the negotiations process.
- Contributing to the development of contracting strategies, terms of reference and market approaches, preparing sourcing plans, and identifying opportunities to leverage value or mitigate risk from changes in markets.
- Manage the Cementing and Fluids Category sourcing activities, adjusting and prioritising against business objectives.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
University Bachelor degree or equivalent
MCIPS or equivalent professional PSCM qualification
Experience of contract administration within a technical industry, ideally Oil and Gas.
Demonstrable experience as a Procurement and Supply Chain specialist.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience of working in the Middle East.
Experience of working within a Joint Venture environment.
